Holy Cross Wilderness, Colorado Mt. Holy Cross stands over fourteen thousand feet, located in the heart of Colorado south west of Vail resorts. Home to some of the most beautiful views in the rocky mountain, holy cross offers a challenging hike, and endless mountain vistas and valleys. From high a-top the rocks, Pietro and Katie spot a crystal clear glacier pond. This beautiful day in late july with the sun sparkling from the pond below was the perfect setting for a 14er work out! Not far from the summit, legs burning, lungs throbbing, only a couple more steps . . Pietro and Katie made a successful summit of Mt. Holy Cross, and are able to view a picture perfect sky for the top. Mt. Holy Cross was another perfect peak for Kilimanjaro training.
