Tricia has studied Geology at the University of Alaska Fairbanks for her first two years of college. Tricia has participated in dog mushing, ice climbing, and backpacking while in Alaska. In the summer of 2005 she lived and worked in the Arctic town of Coldfoot. She traveled in the area as much as possible and loved the extended daylight of the Arctic as well as her paddle days on the Koyukuk River.
Tricia started her boating career at the age of four when she and her twin sister, Catie, would whisper secrets to one another while hiding under an overturned kayak in the pool. Tricia has been her happiest in the water. Tricia worked with children as a camp counselor in Colorado’s mountains for three summers. She has paddled competitively in slalom races in her C-1 and in her kayak.
