Ryan McLeod was Born in Inuvik NT Canada and raised up in Aklavik NT, Canada. Ryan is a Gwich'in Athabaskan Native with mixed ancestry to also include Inuvialuit (Inuit), Dene, Scottish and English. He is an active hunter, fisher and trapper and was 10 years old when he got his first caribou. Ryan enjoys spending time out on the land and his success as a hunter makes him the main provider to his family and relatives. He enjoys traveling the lands that his ancestors have respected, cared for and survived on for centuries. Conservation and Wise Management of the wildlife and environment is important to the cultural survival of the Gwich'in and all other Indigenous Groups. Ryan is 23 years old and currently living in Inuvik where he attends Aurora College with plans to pursue a career in renewable resources and wildlife management.
