Raised in Washington D.C., Peter Henry has lived in Oregon and Colorado throughout the course of his life, and has a variety of mountaineering and distance trekking experience. Peter has climbed two volcanoes in Ecuador, South America: Cotopaxi, which is approximately 20,000 feet, and Ianiza Norte, which is approximately 18,000 feet. Additionally, Peter has summitted over 20 14,000-foot peaks in the Colorado Rockies, several of which were completed at night or in winter conditions.
In terms of distance trekking, Peter completed a solo hike on the Appalachian Trail of over 450 miles in one-and-a-half months at the age of 17, and completed a group hike on the Pacific Crest Trail of 500 miles at age 24. Peter was the camp logistic expert in the 2004 adventure trip to Morocco. |
