Born and raised in Michigan, Justin camped and canoed as a child on the legendary AuSable river. Thus began his passion for the out-of-doors . Justin is an avid outdoorsman participating in canoe tripping, backpacking, and flyfishing. He has backpacked extensively throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and the Northern Lower Peninsula. More recently, Justin participated in an expedition, canoeing across the interior of Ontario and the Northern shores of Lake Superior. Moving west to Colorado, Justin discovered whitewater, and the chase began. He has lately immersed himself in the upper end of the whitewater OC1 scene, chasing the melt throughout Colorado, New Mexico, and Idaho. In addition, Justin paddles competitively in OC1 and C1 slalom racing, devoting ALL his free time to canoeing. You may just share an eddy with Justin somewhere in the West.
