The Cause
Our ultimate goal in 28in4 (besides surviving and setting the record) was—and still is—to raise money and hope for two aspiring paralympians: Sarah Marks and Mickey Kay. To help defray training costs as they prepare to compete in the 2010 Vancouver Paralympics. Our goal is to raise $10,000 on their behalf. With your help, we will.
Click on the Donate button to at left if you’d like to help Sarah and Mickey on their road to Vancouver.

Sarah Marks
Sarah, 18, of Moraga, CA has been skiing with Disabled Sports for 10 years. Born with spina bifida, Sarah uses a mono-ski and has developed into a strong sit-skier. She’s only your training donation away from becoming a world-class racer and paralympian. |

Mickey Kay
Mickey, of Berkeley, CA, was paralyzed from the waist down when he was struck by a vehicle while bicycling in Santa Rosa in 2004. He learned to mono-ski with Disabled Sports in 2006 and has astounded instructors ever since with his amazing progress and potential for paralympic success. With his drive and growing skill and your support, a medal’s in his picture. |
